a few fun notes about having baby chickens!

did you know you can impress your friends? little bits sure did. we got a weekend visit from some old and dear and too far away friends and em was all to quick to brag about the baby chicks! here we are with i.j. emma's very first friend! he was born a few months before em and his mom and i used to take the best strolls to get mama coffee and breakfast while toting our babes on our backs. i miss those day, the early days of motherhood. you tend to bond with new mama's in away i can only think of as freshman year of college- all bets are off you are in a new land(mama-hood) and you and your allies bond fast and furious! i wonder how different it might be the second time around...we will know soon enough!
